What consideration has the Cabinet Secretary given to Gwynedd Council's Community Scrutiny Committee's recommendation that the WJEC should publish annually the number of applicants who complete examination papers through the medium of Welsh and English for every subject and publish the figures on a national and county level?

WJEC are in correspondence with Gwynedd Council in respect of this recommendation and have noted that changes to marking processes and data policies would be needed to implement the request. My officials have asked the WJEC to continue to engage with local authorities to explore options to help Gwynedd Council respond positively to the Community Scrutiny Committee’s recommendation.
