Will Welsh Government publish the minutes of every meeting of the Teacher Recruitment and Retention Advisory Board since its establishment, the board's current membership, identifying changes made since its original membership, and any minutes kept from meetings or discussions between the board and Welsh Government Ministers?
The Teacher Recruitment and Retention Advisory Board was disbanded in July 2023. No Minister or Cabinet Secretary has met with the board since its inception.
The board was not a public board. It provided advice and challenge to support the formation and implementation of policy with regards to teacher recruitment and retention in Wales. The minutes and board’s recommendations were not published to provide an environment where policy could be openly tested and challenged by independent practitioners and experts.
