The Teacher Recruitment and Retention Advisory Board was disbanded in July 2023. No Minister or Cabinet Secretary has met with the board since its inception.
The board was not a public board. It provided advice and challenge to support the formation and implementation of policy with regards to teacher recruitment and retention in Wales. The minutes and board’s recommendations were not published to provide an environment where policy could be openly tested and challenged by independent practitioners and experts.
