What guidance has the Welsh Government published to teachers and schools to inform ways of measuring student attainment in schools?
Guidance on assessing progress is found in Supporting Learner Progression: Assessment Guidance. Supporting material and several case studies on supporting transition have also been published alongside this guidance. The Welsh Government has also published guidance on developing a shared understanding of progression which helps ensure coherent expectations for learners throughout their learning journey and across schools.
In July, I also announced the development of national available intensive support for schools, which includes support to understand the progression learners are making and ensure we are developing high expectations across Wales. Officials are working closely with partners in the system to develop this.
