What steps is the Welsh Government taking to stop children and teenagers from entering the Ffos y Fran opencast mine, particularly when the summer holidays begin next week?

Access to the Ffos-y-Fran site is the responsibility of the site operator. Nevertheless, Welsh Government has previously raised this matter directly with both Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council and the Health and Safety Executive, and we continue to monitor the situation closely to ensure the safety of the local community is upheld.
