On how many occasions has the Cabinet Secretary met with representatives of the British Medical Association to discuss the challenges facing GP practices in Wales?

In the past 12 months, I have had formal meetings with representatives of the BMA on at least seven occasions, to discuss a range of issues. These meetings are important opportunities to discuss the challenges facing GP practices and their staff, and to explore solutions to the pressures facing primary care in Wales.

My officials regularly meet with BMA representatives to discuss matters relevant to GP practices and primary care in Wales. Contractual GP matters are taken forward and discussed through a tripartite governance structure, which also includes NHS colleagues.
