£6.8m of Welsh Government support is being invested in the high-value work being undertaken in the Siemens factory in Llanberis in order to safeguard 400 jobs and create 100 new high-quality jobs.  Under the North Wales Growth Deal a further £18m investment is being made in an Enterprise Engineering & OpTICS centre (EEOC) creating new jobs across the whole of north Wales.

£22m is also being invested nationally into the Personal Learning Account programme to help reskill people to meet skills gaps. To help individuals find these opportunities, Working Wales offers in-depth career reviews which help people explore new career ideas.
