Further to WQ92358, will the Cabinet Secretary explain why residents of Aberconwy have to travel out of Conwy County to access contraceptive implants?

Health boards have responsibility for the planning of provision of services for their population. Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is working with Public Health Wales to establish local need and service requirements across North Wales. I am aware that the sexual health clinic in Colwyn Bay closed at the beginning of the pandemic. Resource pressures mean it is not possible to resume services currently.

A variety of online sexual health advice and services are available to those living in Conwy and can be accessed at Sexual Health Wales (https://www.shwales.online/). Alternatively, fully operational sexual health clinics can be accessed in the neighbouring counties of Denbighshire and Gwynedd.
