In 2022-23 5,785 new homes were completed in Wales, up 10% on the previous year. New house building: April 2022 to March 2023 | GOV.WALES.
Unlike in England, where Help to Buy has closed, Help to Buy – Wales has supported thousands of people to realise their dream of home ownership. Since its launched in January 2014 more than 14,000 homes have been purchased with support of the scheme. The majority of these completed purchases, over 10,700, were by first-time buyers.
