Will the Cabinet Secretary provide an update on the Daily Active Offer which the Children’s Commissioner for Wales said, in her Annual Report 2022-23, should commence without further delay?
The Welsh Government is committed to the development of the Daily Active approach. The Daily Active represents a cross policy, multi-agency initiative to promote a whole school approach to physical activity which will shape how we drive forward a refreshed approach for schools to improve opportunities for physical activity in and around the school day. Through our Healthy Weight Delivery Plan, we continue to work collaboratively with partners to develop the Daily Active, ensuring that it adopts an age specific whole school approach, underpinned by a model of behavioural change.
