The Welsh Government is committed to delivering a fairer council tax. I made a statement on 15 May outlining our plans. A range of options were outlined in a Phase 2 consultation in November 2023, accompanied by a detailed analytical assessment from the Institute for Fiscal Studies of potential impacts on both households and local authorities.
