My priorities for National Parks for this Senedd term are set out in the term of Government letter I sent to each National Park Authority in May 2022.
This sets out the key Wellbeing Objectives they should align their work with, as well as a series of priorities grouped according to four themes: Environment, People and Place, Governance and Planning Excellence, and Collaboration. National Parks are key to meeting our 30x30 biodiversity and net zero commitments.
In addition, we have asked Natural Resources Wales to investigate the case for designating a new National Park in North East Wales.
