What progress has been made on establishing a health plan for women?

Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care | Answered on 21/05/2024

The National Clinical Lead for Women’s Health has been appointed and will lead the National Strategic Clinical Network for Women’s Health.

The network will develop the Women’s Health Plan, engaging with women and girls and building on the recommendations in the published Discovery report. A consultation on short term outcomes and actions is anticipated to take place over the autumn, with the plan being published by the end of 2024.
