Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs | Answered on 16/05/2024

The Welsh Government funds NRW to deliver the metal mine remediation programme. This aims to address water quality failures under the Water Framework Directive by tackling this pollution at source.

Over the last four years, Welsh Government has provided NRW with £15m to deliver this programme.
