What assessment has the Welsh Government made of the impact of the Abrahart v University of Bristol case on universities in Wales?
Since the judgement was published the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales has raised awareness with the students by sharing the Equality and Human Rights Commission(EHRC) guidance with AMOSSHE, the student support service organisation. They will also be working with the EHRC’s solicitor who dealt with the EHRC’s intervention in the case, to understand the implications for the sector from the ruling. This will be a taken in account as the policy and guidance for Commission for Tertiary Education and Research is developed.
In addition, Universities UK is developing guidance for its member which includes all universities in Wales.
