My officials have regular meetings with Transport for Wales which includes discussion of the impact of other operators on Transport for Wales services, including potential future open access routes such as Alstrom’s proposal. Alstom's plans could deliver additional connectivity for Wrexham and North East Wales if approved, and we will continue to work with Transport for Wales to maximise the opportunities for passengers once the decision from the Office of Rail and Road is known.
