Will the Minister provide an update on how the Welsh Government is encouraging more students to study graphic design?
Expressive Arts is mandatory in the curriculum and supports all learners to develop their creative, artistic and performance skills. The Area spans the five disciplines of art, dance, drama, film and digital media, and music. This provides children and young people with learning and experience in such areas as graphics, illustration, animation, film and designing, all of which are referenced in the statutory guidance that schools must consider.
We are also supporting learning experiences in creativity and the arts through our joint programme with the Arts Council of Wales, Creative Learning through the Arts.
