Will the Minister confirm what Welsh Government support is available for independent bookstores?
Independent bookstores will be able to access the same support as other retailers in Wales. We have recently announced a new £20m capital fund for 2024/25 which will provide funding for retail, leisure and hospitality businesses to future-proof their businesses. This is on top of the £125 million Transforming Towns capital fund announced in 2022 and the continued support investing an additional £78m in retail, leisure and hospitality businesses with their non-domestic rates bills next year. The Retail Action Plan developed in Social Partnership with the Retail Forum brings together key action that will be taken to support the sector.
