What steps is the Minister taking to encourage more people to become teaching support staff?

The recruitment and retention of suitably qualified staff is the responsibility of employing bodies i.e. local authorities and schools.
Vocational qualifications (including apprenticeships) are available to encourage people into the profession and to develop the skills of existing teaching support staff.
