What discussions has the Minister had with Natural Resources Wales regarding the mistakes made by Dŵr Cymru in its reporting of leakages and water use to the industry's regulator?
I welcome OFWAT’s announcement on 14th March on the outcomes of their investigation into Dwr Cymru Welsh Water’s (DCWW) misreporting on leakage performance, launched in May 2023.
As a government we have always been clear that we expect DCWW to provide the highest standards of service to their customers. Where they fail to deliver, I strongly support the appropriate enforcement action taken by our regulators.
I and my officials regularly speak to DCWW and Natural Resources Wales on all aspects of their operations, including this, and my expectations have been made clear.
