Will the Minister outline why there was a delay in the introduction of the Warm Homes Programme?

The new Warm Homes Programme is worth over £200m and we needed to ensure we are getting the maximum value for public money.
Given the complexity of the services being procured to deliver this scheme, extra assurance steps in the evaluation process were required, resulting in slippage to the procurement timeline. Pre-emptive action was taken to extend the current Nest contract to the end of March 2024, thereby continuing to help low-income households over the winter.
