Will the Minister confirm whether empagliflozin is available in all parts of Wales through the Welsh NHS?

empagliflozin has been available in Wales where clinically indicated for the treatment of heart failure since February 2022; and for kidney disease since October 2023 as per the terms of the New Treatment Fund.
The New Treatment Fund requires health boards and NHS Trusts to make medicines recommended by the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group or the National Institute for Care and Excellence routinely available no later than two months after the recommendation is made.
