What action has the Welsh Government taken to ensure as many farmers as possible can respond to the sustainable farming scheme consultation?
The Sustainable Farming Scheme: Keeping farmers farming consultation was promoted through RPWonline, social media, Gwlad online magazine and via the press and industry stakeholders to raise awareness of the consultation with farmers across Wales. Officials presented the SFS proposals to over 3,200 farmers at ten roadshows.
To make the consultation as accessible as possible farmers have been able to respond by electronic form, email, hard copy, via their industry representative bodies, and direct correspondence to myself and officials. Comments raised at the SFS roadshows have also been collated.
