What assessment has the Minister made of the distribution of the UK Government's Regional Innovation Fund, and did the Welsh Government agree to this funding split via Barnett?

Welsh Ministers were not given an opportunity to assess the distribution of the UK Government Regional Innovation Fund in advance of its announcement. It is likely that Wales would have received a higher sum had the formula applied to the English regions been used across the whole UK instead of Barnett.
