What discussions has the Minister had with Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council to ensure further flooding does not occur in Pontypridd, following the Pontypridd floodings in 2020?

I have met Rhondda Cynon Taf Council several times in the last 12 months to discuss flood risk management in Pontypridd. The council is a Risk Management Authority and my officials also work closely with it to progress its proposed flood schemes under our Flood and Coastal Risk Management programme. This financial year (2023-24), we have made £12m of capital and £4.95m of revenue funding available for local authorities, including Rhondda Cynon Taf Council.
