What is the Welsh Government doing to ensure that employer timekeeping records are held to a higher standard, in light of reports from the Wales TUC that Welsh workers have lost over £633 million worth of wages in unpaid overtime?

Effective record-keeping of working hours is necessary to ensure workers are properly compensated. I have written to the Minister for Enterprise, Markets and Small Business, expressing my concern that low standards and poor enforcement of record-keeping puts workers at increased risk of labour abuse and exploitation. The Welsh Government works with employers and trade unions to promote fair work. This includes fairly rewarding workers for all hours worked.
