How many planned services have had to be cancelled or postponed as a result of the junior doctors strike that commenced on 21 February 2024?

My officials have been in close contact with NHS Wales to assess the impact of the strikes in relation to the number of outpatient and treatment appointments that have been cancelled/postponed.
Early management information as indicated that due to the junior doctor strike action 21-23 February 2023.:
- 9,102 outpatients have been cancelled/postponed.
- 1,090 surgical cases have been cancelled/postponed.
This is management information, and my official will have a more definitive position next week.
This management information suggests more than a 30% impact on outpatients and more than 35% impact on surgical operations.
