Will the Minister confirm what salaries and daily rates Carl Foulkes and Dame Vera Baird will receive for their involvement in the review of the devolution of policing in Wales?
In April 2023, Dame Vera Baird KC was appointed as the independent expert advisor on justice devolution on a 12-month contract with the value of up to £24,999 for 48 days, inclusive of expenses. Dame Vera was appointed to advise on all aspects of the justice devolution work programme and therefore, I cannot estimate the exact number of days Dame Vera has spent advising on the review of the devolution of policing in Wales.
Carl Foulkes was appointed as project lead for the review in November 2023 on a contract with the value of up to £6,000 for 10 days, inclusive of expenses.
