Will the Minister outline what funding has been made available to establish the independent team to work with key stakeholders to understand the benefits, opportunities, challenges and risks of a devolved policing model for Wales?

Answered by Counsel General and Minister for the Constitution | Answered on 23/02/2024

We have made up to £41,000 available to cover the costs of the independent team to work on the devolution of policing review. This covers Carl Foulkes’ costs as project lead and also support in producing a survey, conducting interviews and compiling the review’s report, as well as services such as translation. Further support is being provided to the project at no extra cost through our internal Knowledge and Analytical Services and in partnership with Public Health Wales.
