What consideration has the Minister given to implementing school-wide programmes of mindfulness in Wales?

Our draft budget for 2024-25 includes £13.6m of funding jointly from the Education and Health budgets to support implementation of our statutory framework on embedding a whole school approach to emotional and mental wellbeing.
It is the responsibility of each school to ensure that the chosen interventions address the needs of their learners. Six local authorities used Welsh Government funding to deliver mindfulness in schools during the 22-23 academic year. This includes mindfulness for children, staff and parents.
