Will the Minister provide an update on when the disused tip safety Bill will be introduced to the Senedd?

As outlined by the First Minister in his legislative statement in June 2023, the disused tips safety Bill is a priority for this Government. As indicated in the statement, designing a proportionate regime that replaces the current reactive legislation and meets the needs of both coal and non-coal tips is complex, and we are determined to get it right. The exact timing of the Bill will be confirmed shortly.
In the interim period, we are working with the Coal Authority to monitor disused coal tips, with regular inspections of higher-rated tips.
