What meetings will the Welsh Government hold with representatives from Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board ahead of the health board having been in special measures for a year?
Welsh Government officials, the First Minister, the Deputy Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing and I meet regularly with the health board, as part of our ongoing monitoring and assurance mechanisms for special measures.
On 31 January 2024, I chaired the bi-monthly special measures improvement forum with the health board’s executive team and independent members.
I meet the health board chair on a monthly basis. My next meeting with him is on 20 February 2024.
The Deputy Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing chairs a quarterly meeting with the health board to seek assurance about mental health. The next of these meetings is due to take place on 22 February 2024.
The Director General for Health and Social Services chairs quarterly special measures assurance board meetings throughout the year, and the most recent of these meetings was held on 7 February 2024.
Integrated Quality, Planning and Delivery meetings are held between Welsh Government officials and the health board on a monthly basis, the most recent of which was held on 19 February 2024.
