What is the Minister's assessment of the effectiveness of schemes such as the NHS Research Time Awards for creating greater capacity for research time?

Since the launch of Health and Care Research Wales in 2015, we have given 48 research time awards to NHS staff. The NHS Research Time Award scheme is popular with NHS organisations, and an evaluation of the scheme undertaken by Health and Care Research Wales in March 2020 produced positive findings.
With the recent creation of the Health and Care Research Wales Faculty, the scheme has been retained and expanded as the Researcher Development Award Scheme.
