How many clinical trials did the Welsh Government support financially in Wales in 2023?

The Welsh Government through its Health and Care Research Wales research delivery workforce supported 862 (644 non-commercial and 218 commercial) clinical trials and other research studies in Wales during 2023.
Whilst the workforce will support commercial research, NHS organisations are expected to cost recover funding from sponsors.
