Will the Minister confirm whether the foundational combined science course is a double-award course or a single-award course, and which routes it opens up for further study?

All of the new 14-16 Foundation qualifications that will be available from September 2027 are designed to be equivalent in size to a single-award GCSE. Learners who take the Foundation qualification in ‘the sciences’ will be able to progress onto a range of different qualifications.
