What Welsh Government support is available for independently run film companies?

As announced in July 2022, Creative Wales contracts with Ffilm Cymru to deliver £2m of film funding to the Welsh independent film sector. 9 feature films have been approved for funding through this scheme to date with a total projected spend in Wales of over £15 million.
Creative Wales has also recently approved funding for the development of a number of Welsh language feature films through Sinema Cymru, a new partnership between S4C, Creative Wales and Ffilm Cymru. These films will be for theatrical release and the successful projects moving into development will be announced in the coming weeks.
