What discussions has the Welsh Government had with Gwent Police in relation to part of the M4 being closed for 13 hours after a fatal three-car crash on 29 January 2023?

My thoughts at this sad time are with the bereaved family following the accident on 29 January 2024.
The Welsh Government and our agents are working closely key partners including the Police and Traffic Wales to provide assistance, as we do for all incidents that occur on the strategic road network.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing. As always, we will liaise with the Police to identify any lessons learned for future incident response and the management of the strategic road network.
