Will the Minister confirm whether children are being housed in the former Toys R Us building in Cardiff Bay currently being used for temporary accommodation?

Welsh Government continues to work closely with all local authorities, including Cardiff Council, to ensure the provision of appropriate homelessness prevention and relief measures in line with their statutory obligations.

Discussions with Cardiff Council confirm the use of the Toys R Us site is an emergency measure and plans are in place to close the site and assist the adults currently using the provision to move on to more suitable accommodation.

By the nature of their circumstances, some people experiencing homelessness may require additional care and support which is available from specialist staff.
