What assessment has the Minister made of the Centre For Cities report that shows between 2014 and 2021, the growth in the share of children in relative poverty from working households is higher in Swansea, Newport and Cardiff than in any other British cities?

The Centre for Cities report shows an increasing share of child poverty is seen among in-work households in all cities besides those in the East of England between 2014-2021. Analysis by organisations such as the Equality and Human Rights Commission shows that the UK Government’s welfare reforms since 2010 and increasing housing costs have had a significant impact on levels of child poverty amongst working households.
