What measures are being taken by the Welsh Government to combat false self-employment and the gig economy in Wales?

We encourage all organisations in Wales to sign up to the Welsh Government’s Code of Practice on Ethical Employment in Supply Chains. The Code of Practice is supported by guidance on tackling unfair employment practices and false self-employment. All workers should have access to the same fundamental rights and protections that ensure a fair and safe working environment, and we continue to press the UK Government to discharge their responsibilities and strengthen workers’ rights and their enforcement.
