As part of that plan, HEIW have committed to reviewing allied health professions to understand the current position and future needs to deliver our services, resulting in a clear programme of work to develop the AHP workforce by March 2024.
The Allied Health Professional Framework sets out clear aims for transforming the way in which our population can access the expertise of AHPs, in particular increasing direct access in primary and community services. Enabling APHs to use their skills fully will help improve staff satisfaction and retention.
