What plans does the Minister have to alter the current Government flood prevention plans, following the NRW report 'Long-term Investment Requirements for Flood Defences in Wales' which highlights that hundreds of thousands of properties are at risk of flooding in Wales?
Our flood prevention plans are set out in our National Flood Strategy published in 2020, which outlines this Government’s priorities throughout this decade. I welcome the publication of the Natural Resources Wales Long Term Investment Requirements (LTIR) report on 16 January. The Welsh Government response to the report is set out in my answer WQ90477. The LTIR report will be considered alongside other emerging work on flood risk for example the National Infrastructure Commission Report into flood infrastructure, to ensure a fully considered, strategic way forward.
