The recent reduction in employee National Insurance does not make up for the tax increases imposed by the UK Government over recent years. According to the Office for Budget Responsibility, the overall UK tax burden across businesses and households is set to increase in every year to a post-war high of 37.7% of GDP by 2028-29.
