A breakdown of the components which have been utilised to make up each part of the new Local Authority Education Grant (LAEG) are:

LAEG School Standards (£159.864m)

  • Education Improvement Grant (EIG)
  • Recruit Recover Raise Standards – the Accelerating Learning Programme
  • Foundation Phase Nursery (FPN) Funding
     

LAEG Equity (£154.865m)

  • Pupil Development Grant (PDG)
  • Elective Home Education
  • Transition support for Minority Ethnic and Gypsy, Roma, Traveller learners
  • Community Focussed Schools
  • Grant to support and promote a whole school approach to Emotional and Mental Wellbeing*
  • Education Welfare Officers
     

LAEG Reform (£54.405m)

  • Curriculum, Professional Learning and Leadership funding (previously within the Regional Consortia Grant (RCG))
  • Additional Learning Needs Provision
  • Additional Learning Needs Implementation
  • Online Individual Development Plan Grant
     

LAEG Cymraeg 2050 (£9.7m)

  • Welsh in Education Grant
  • Professional Learning for Welsh Medium (previously within the Regional Consortia Grant (RCG))
  • Late Welsh Immersion Grant
  • Promote and facilitate the use of the Welsh Language
