What are the costs associated with monitoring two separate dental contracts in Wales?

The costs associated with monitoring the delivery of contracted NHS dental services are funded from health boards’ ring-fenced dental budgets. Health Board audited accounts for 2022-23 reported expenditure of £2.821m attributed to Health Board staff costs associated with the delivery / monitoring of the dental contract. No additional allocations have been made to health boards for the purpose of monitoring NHS dental activity.
