What advice has the Welsh Government issued to primary care providers about the wearing of facemasks in their indoor public spaces?
The Public Health Respiratory Framework 2023 to 2024 was published on the 26 September 2023. The publication sets out the public health context for autumn and winter 2023 to 2024 season and our approach to responding to respiratory viruses in Wales. The health setting section of the publication contains a link to the current Public Health Wales COVID-19 Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Guidance, this sets out IPC measures to prevent transmission of COVID-19 in health and care settings in Wales.
PPE including facemasks will continue to be provided free of charge to primary care contractors up to the 31 March 2024.
