Will the Minister state whether an assessment of the razor clam beds has now been completed?

Fisheries science resources have been directed to other fisheries throughout 2023, and this coupled with the complexity of developing the methodologies required to undertake the razor clam study has meant the survey is yet to take place.
We have taken the decision to extend the closure of the recreational razor clam fishery at Llanfairfechan and Penmaenmawr for a further 12 months until midnight 31 December 2024. This will ensure razor clams stocks remain protected.
