How is the Welsh Government working with local authorities to encourage the Marches Forward Partnership between Welsh and English local authorities to support Welsh-speaking communities in England?

Answered by Minister for Education and the Welsh Language | Answered on 21/12/2023

We welcome seeing councils along the Marches coming together on a voluntary basis to work on shared interests.

We firmly believe that Cymraeg belongs to us all, wherever we are and however much Welsh we have. Many of our Cymraeg 2050 programmes to increase the numbers of Welsh speakers and its use are available online for everyone to use, for example Cymraeg i Blant and resources to Learn Welsh, and are therefore not limited to those who live in Wales.
