Who will be the new contractor for the conducting and analysis of the National Survey for Wales following the completion of the ONS' contract in 2024?
The National Survey for Wales is carried out for Welsh Government and sponsored bodies by an external contractor. From 2023-24 onwards the contractor is Kantar Public.
Since the survey began in its current form in 2016-17, core contract costs (primarily for fieldwork) total approximately £12.6m. A team within Welsh Government designs and manages the survey, and analyses and reports on the results; staff costs (based on average grade costs) over the same period total approximately £3.0m.
