When does the Welsh Government intend to implement a retail registration scheme for the sale of vaping products in Wales?

The Welsh Government, along with the other governments of the UK are currently consulting on proposals to create a smokefree generation and to tackle youth vaping. A Bill to bring forward these proposals was announced on 7 November during the State Opening of Parliament. Once the consultation closes and the results have been analysed, we will work closely with the governments in the other nations to develop the policy and the draft legislation, with a view to creating joint proposals and aligning approaches where possible. The legislative implications for the Senedd will also then be clarified.
